Lightload Towels should be hand washed under delicate conditions and then kept dry when possible.
2. How long do they last?
It depends how you use them. If you use to wipe then dry them off They last about as long as a pair of good boots on an Appalachian Trail Thru Hike, two months. Of course if you use it as a firestarter or first aid supplement then it wouldn't last as long. Follow the above care instructions.
3. How do I open?
Dipping in water softens the towels up and gets the wrinkles out. However, you can open without water in cold conditions. Just squeeze the sides of the hand towels out of the package and then unravel.

The material is 100 percent viscose.
5. What is the difference between this and the other towels in the outdoor market?
Lightload Towels are much more absorbent than microfiber and cotton. They also are more versatile and pack down smaller.
